Reading Challenge

Sign up for Beanstack and receive prizes!


Sign up for our online reading challenge and receive prizes for every 60 minutes you read!  Complete six hours and become eligible for our raffle.

Once you have registered online, stop by the library to pick up your sticker log and small prize.  

Challenge yourself during our 6-week summer reading program!

If you read 10 minutes a night, you'll complete 6 hours and receive six animal prizes.
If you read 15 minutes a night, you'll complete 9 hours and receive nine animal prizes.
And if you read 20 minutes a night, you'll complete 12 hours and receive twelve animal prizes.

Summer Acting and Puppetry Workshop

Dreamtale Puppets have put together an amazing opportunity for children to create their own puppet production.  Sign up online through event keeper, then stop by the library to pick up your puppet making kit based on the character you pick. 

This is a six-week program with four meetings on ZOOM and two meetings in person with the final presentation on Tuesday, August 10 at 10 am.

Songs and Stories with Miss Chris

Fridays at 10:30 am



Join Miss Chris for engaging stories, lively music and interactive movement.  Recommended for children ages 0 to 5.  No registration necessary.  Story time will be outside, weather permitting or inside with limited seating.  Please check our Facebook page for updates.  Bring your own chair or blanket.

Kits are available for pick up at your library.  Please, only kit per child.

After reviewing last summer kits, we decided to make some of our kits a little more challenging for children who are 8 and up (Upper Level).  We also have weekly kits for our younger children 7 and under (Lower Level).  The age requirements are only a guideline.  Thank you.

Balancing Dinosaurs (Lower Level)

Paint a paper plate dinosaur and balance it with clothespins.

Using Origami paper, follow instructions to make your own paper dinosaurs.

Boats (Upper Level)

Make your own boat out of a variety of materials.

Paper Crab Craft (Lower Level)

Assemble a paper crab using colored paper and brads.

Build a Dog Kennel
(Lower Level)

Assemble a "dog kennel" out of popsicle for your pet dog.

Sock Rabbit (Upper Level)

Stuff a sock with fill and glue together.

Earthworm Coding (Lower Level)

Simple patterns with beads and pipe cleaners.
