The Friends of the Mattapoisett Library

The Friends of the Mattapoisett Library was organized and incorporated to increase public support for the library and to supplement its educational and cultural services. The group is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 charitable corporation whose purpose is to support library services, promote the enrichment and use of total library resources, to sponsor educational and cultural programs and to focus public attention on the library's needs.

Over the past few years, the Friends have contributed funding (raised largely through membership dues and booksales) to support the building expansion program, purchased furniture, equipment, museum passes and funded adult and children's Programming. The Friends Board of Directors presently meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Marine Room.

Please visit their Gently Used Booksale on the second Saturday of each month from 10 am to 1 pm and On the Shelf near the library' director's office for some incredible values every day all year long!

Donations may be sent to the Friends of Mattapoisett Library at P. O. Box 1146, Mattapoisett, MA 02739.

Membership applications are located at both circulation desks.  Here you will also find Friends' library tote bags for $12 and larger bags at $15 each.
