Welcome to the Mattapoisett Free Public Library

The Mattapoisett Free Public Library is a full-service public library located along the shores of Buzzards Bay, in southeastern Massachusetts. Centrally located in the village, the renovated 15,000 sq. ft. library reopened in March of 2008 to rave reviews from patrons and guests alike.

The library belongs to the SAILS Library Network, a consortium of over 60 libraries in the southcoast region.  Membership in SAILS means that over 1 million titles are available for borrowing with a SAILS library card.  In addition, through the SAILS library website, Mattapoisett patrons can borrow items from libraries all over the state, including the Boston Public Library and many universities.  Beyond that, interlibrary loan services can bring in library materials from all over the country and beyond.

Many of the library's services can be accessed via this web site.  The library staff is ready to answer your questions and help you navigate the library's resources.  Stop in and introduce yourself!
