Mattapoisett Reads: Literacy for Every Stage of Life

The Mattapoisett Free Public Library received funds from the Richard & Ann J. Prouty Foundation to support a new initiative, "Mattapoisett Reads: Literacy for Every Stage of Life".  The goals of the initiative are to:

• provide Mattapoisett residents with resources and information on topics such as foundations of early literacy, supporting struggling readers, and English learning adults and children.
• engage speakers and local experts to present programs on literacy related topics to provide support and understanding for literacy related struggles 
• collaborate with educators, parents, and local literacy specialists to foster a love of reading and the skills to reading for pleasure and information
